Registration - Just Take a Class

  1. Access www.cvtc.edu.
  2. Click Admissions.


  3. Click Take a Class.


  4. Click Learn More About Just Take a Class, if you are ready to register.
    • Click Search Courses if you are unsure of the class(es) you want to register for.


  5. Click Register With Quick Start.


  6. Click here, if you are a first time user.


  7. Create a Login ID and PIN.
    Click Login.


  8. Returning users, enter your ID number and PIN.
    Click Login.
    • Returning users: Once logged in skip to Step 15.
    • First time users: Continue to finish application.


  9. Select Just Take a Class, from the drop-down menu.
    Click Continue.



  10. Choose the Term, from the drop-down.
    Fill in the *Required Fields.
    Click Fill Out Application.



  11. Complete each section of a the Just Take a Class application.
    • A check-mark will indicate when each sections are complete.
    Click Submit Now, when all sections all complete.


  12. Click I Agree, to the Admissions Agreement.


  13. Click Go to Course Registration.
    • Please make note of your ID and temporary PIN. You will need this to log back in if you need to make any changes.


  14. Enter your ID number and PIN, from step 13.
    Click Login.


  15. Click Student.


  16. Click Registration.


  17. Click Add or Drop Courses - For Just Take a Class Applications.


  18. Select Term.
    Click Submit.


  19. Click Course Search, to search for a class/classes.
    • If you already have the CRN numbers skip to Step 23.


  20. Select your Subject.
    Click Course Search.


  21. Click View Sections, to the right of the class you are interested in.


  22. Select your Section, on the left hand side.
    Click Add to Worksheet.
    • If you are wanting to take more than 1 class, repeat steps 19-22 until all your classes are listed on the worksheet.


  23. Enter your CRNS.
    • If you used Course Search, the CRN will automatically be populated from the section you chose in Course Search.
    Click Submit Changes.


  24. Once you have successfully registered, your class(es) will show under Current Schedule.
    • If you receive an error please contact Student Central by calling 715-833-6200 or email them at studentcentral@cvtc.edu.


  25. If you need to drop a class, select **Web Drop/Delete from the Action drop-down.
    Click Submit Changes.
    • If you are dropping the class after the first week is finished, you will need to talk to Student Central or the front desk at any campus.
