Transferring Files from Your Computer to VMware Horizon

You can import a file from your device to the virtual desktop using Horizon's built-in upload feature.

Click the gray tab on the left side of the screen to open the menu.
Click the File Transfer icon at the top. This icon may appear disabled at first, but should enable momentarily.
In the pop-up dialogue, click Choose Files to select the files for upload.
Once your files are selected, they will immediately copy to the virtual desktop's Documents folder.

Note: this method allows upload to Horizon only, and will not work to download a file from Horizon for transfer to your personal computer.

Alternatively, if you use cloud storage such as Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive, you can utilize those services for file transfer through a web browser in the virtual desktop.
