OneDrive Desktop Application - Sign-in
Sign in to the OneDrive desktop application for convenient access to cloud storage.
You will automatically have access to Microsoft OneDrive, a cloud storage solution that integrates with other Microsoft platforms regularly used here at the college. The OneDrive desktop application allows you easily to backup, sync, and manage your files through File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
If you are logged into a CVTC-managed laptop or desktop, you should be automatically signed-in to your OneDrive account. If you are using a personal device or run into issues with OneDrive, you can manually sign in to ensure access.
- Click the OneDrive icon (a cloud shape) in the lower right hand corner.

Mac users will find this icon in the upper right corner.
- In the OneDrive pop-up menu, click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then Settings.

- If you are using a personal Windows device, you will most likely be already signed in a personal account. Click Account on the left column, then Add an account.

- Enter your CVTC email address and click Sign In
- @student.cvtc.edu for students and @cvtc.edu for employees

- @student.cvtc.edu for students and @cvtc.edu for employees
- Verify location of your OneDrive folder - the default location is recommended - then click Next.

- You can choose to turn on back up for Documents, Pictures, and Desktop. This is optional, but may be a good idea if you are not already backing up files elsewhere.
- The next few slides are mostly information to note. On the final item, click Open my OneDrive folder.
- Your OneDrive will open with File Explorer/Finder.
