Remove CVTC Management from iPad

Process of removing CVTC Management from Student iPads through Reset Process

**** Removing Management requires a reset of the iPad. All Data on the iPad will be deleted, please backup any data you would like to keep. ****

Please back up your data that you would like to keep.

There are 2 processes from resetting your iPad. The first one is the easiest but is not always available. The second option requires access to a computer (Windows or Mac) with iTunes on it.

Reset Process 1:

  1. Backup your data.

  2. Plug in your iPad to a charger


  3. Once you have backed up your data, go to:
    => Settings  => general => Transfer or Reset


  4. Then click "Erase All Content and Settings"
    ****This will delete all of your data on the device****


  5.  Walkthrough the data erase process and let the iPad process and let the iPad reset


  6.  Scroll down to Setup Process



Reset Process 2:

  1. Backup your data.

  2. Follow Apple's guide:

Setup Process:

After the iPad resets, DO NOT Sign into your iCloud account during the setup process
Signing into the iCloud account at this time will cause the management to return.
We will readd your iCloud account later


  1. As you walkthrough the setup process, you are going to want to select a couple items

    1. When you get the the screen "Quickly Set Up iPad" select "Set up without Another Device"
      We will can transfer the data later in settings

    2. Then on the "Transfer Your Apps & Data" screen, Select "Don't Transfer Anything"

    3. Then you will reach the Apple Account Screen, you will need to select "Forgot Password or don't have an account"

    4. Then on the next screen, select "Set Up Later in Settings


    5. Then on the Pop up, select "Don't Use"

    6. Complete the setup Process




Readd iCloud Account:

  1. Go to Settings and in the top left, you should no longer see it being managed by CVTC.

  2. Instead, you should see "Apple Account", go ahead and click on it
    You will have the option to use another device or sign in manually.
