CVTC is committed to saving our students money on their education by actively reducing costs of instructional materials through creative options. The definitions below indicate what students can expect for textbook/material costs if a class is labeled within these categories.
Open Educational Resource (OER) – free textbook(s) with open licensing/copyright. No cost to students.
Affordable Educational Resource (AER) – low-cost textbook, $40 or less. Minimal cost to students.
