Qualtrics, an easy-to-use, full-featured, web-based tool for creating and conducting online surveys.
All CVTC faculty, staff, and students have access to Qualtrics. If prompted, enter your MyCVTC username and password, click LOGIN.

Is there a cost to use Qualtrics?
The Information Technology department covers the cost of the Chippewa Valley Technical College license; there is no charge to users.
Is there a limit to the number of surveys I can create or survey responses I can receive?
Both the number of surveys and survey responses are unlimited.
Can I distribute Qualtrics surveys to participants outside of Chippewa Valley Technical College?
Yes, you can distribute your surveys to anyone via email, social media, QR code, or by using a link that can be posted on a website or elsewhere. Review the survey distributions overview for all your options.
How can students create a Qualtrics account?
A Qualtrics link is located within the Resources & Tools section in the MyCVTC Student Portal.
When do I need to receive Institutional Research (IR) department approval before distributing a survey?
When distributing a survey to a widespread of CVTC students, alumni, faculty, staff, or community, IR approval is required. For more information, see the College Policy: Institutional and Academic Surveys.
When do I need to receive Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval before distributing a survey?
Your research project should be submitted to the IRB if it involves the collection of data from human subjects and fits the definition listed as follows. “Research” is defined as a systematic investigation designed to develop or contribute to generalizable knowledge through public dissemination such as published articles, presentations, or poster displays.
