The Canvas interface is split into three sections: Global Navigation, Dashboard, and Sidebar.

Global Navigation

1. Update your profile, settings, update notifications, and more with the Account link.
2. Use the Dashboard link to find your courses, view your to-do-list, and find links to other items.
3. Connect with others in your courses to collaborate using the Groups link.
4. Don't forget to view your schedule and course tasks with the Calendar link.
5. Send private messages to your classmates or instructors through the Inbox link.
6. Use the Help link to find assistance on a variety of Canvas tools and features.

Dashboard

1. View courses in dashboard or recent activity view.
2. Use quick links to access course announcements, assignments, discussions, and files.

Sidebar

1. View your calendar and to-do list.
2. Find links to recent feedback from your instructors and/or peers.
3. Use a quick link to review your current grades.
