Canvas - How to Submit a Studio Video or Audio File to a Canvas Assignment

  1. Open your web browser.
     
  2. Open Canvas and your assignment.

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the assignment page to see the uploader. Click the Studio icon to access your Canvas Studio files.

  4. In your Studio account, locate the video or audio file you want to submit. By default, the page displays media from your collection.

  5. To upload new media, click the Add button. You can also drag and drop multiple media into the window, or record a new video. The maximum file size for a media upload is 10 GB.

  6. Hover over the media you want to submit and select it.
    When hovering over a video, a Select option appears.
     
  7. By default, access to video information, comments, and captions are included in the video or audio files. To disable these, toggle the "Display media tabs" option. Downloads are also disabled by default; toggle this option to allow viewers to download the media file.
    Display media tabs option is enabled by default, and allows comments on your video.
     
  8. Click the Embed button.

  9. After your video has been embed, you may submit the assignment by clicking the blue Submit Assignment button at the lower right.
