VPN - CVTC Laptop

Install:

1. Click Start Menu > Company Portal.
2. Search for Global Protect.
   
   
   
3. Click Install.
   

Configure:

The following steps need to be done off-campus:

1. Enter vpn.cvtc.edu.
   Click Connect.
   
   
   
2. Enter your Commons username and password.
   • Do not enter your full email address here, just your username.
   Click Sign In.
   • If you get an error saying you do not have permissions you must submit a ticket to https://servicedesk.cvtc.edu/
     to get permissions.

3. You will be prompted to Choose a Passkey
   
   
   
4. You will be redirected to the Paloalto website. Check the box to Always Allow VPN to open links of this type, then click Open
   
   
   
5. Scan the QR code to use the Passkey to log in
   
   
   
6. You will get a prompt saying Authentication Complete.
   
7. Once connected the button will change to Disconnect.
   • Or you can verify the client is running click the up arrow, in the lower corner of the task bar, and hover over the globe looking icon. There it will tell you if you are connected or disconnected to the VPN.
