Canvas - Intro to Canvas Dashboard Navigation
This highlights the Canvas interface for reviewing courses
The Canvas Dashboard is a place where you can quickly access frequent classes
- Once you log into Canvas you will see the Dashboard icon in the navigation on the right in the blue bar. Select it to go to your dashboard.
- Select the 3 vertical dots in the upper left of the dashboard to see the viewing options.
- Card View - This view arranges the active courses as color coded boxes on the screen.
- List View - This view show the recent activity in the courses by date.
- Recent Activity - This view shows the most recent things tat you have been working on.
- In the Card view each course card has 3 vertical dots that allow you to change the "nickname" of the course along with the color.
- On each card at the bottom, there are icons that will appear depending on the content that is available to you in each course. These icons include: Announcements, Assignments, Discussions, and Files.
- On the right side of the screen will be the sidebar listing upcoming events in the courses.
- Below the list of events you will see a button for View Grades that will take you to your list of courses with links to see the grades.
