Download and Sign in

If you have a CVTC issued device (iPhone or iPad) you can install MS Teams through Self Service. If you are using your personal device you will need to install MS Teams through App Store or Google Play.

1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. Enter your CVTC email address.
   Click Sign in.



3. Enter your CVTC username and password.
   Click Login.



4. Tap Allow, to allow notifications to your device.
   • If you tap Don't Allow you will not get notified of new chats, calls, or meetings.



5. Tap OK, to user your devices microphone for calls and meetings.
   • If you tap Don't Allow, you will be muted on calls and meetings.



6. Tap Next.



7. Tap Next.



8. Tap Got it.

General Use

1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. Bottom Navigation:
   • Activity - When a red circle appears next to Activity button, you have a notification—such as an @mention or a reply—in your feed. These notifications remain in your feed for 30 days. After that they expire and no longer show in your feed.
   
   
   
   • Chat - Chat is at the center of whatever you do in Teams. From individual chats with just one other person to group chats and conversations in channels—chat has you covered
   
   
   
   • Teams & Channels - A team is a group of people gathered to get something big done in your organization. Sometimes it’s your whole organization. Teams are made up of channels, which are the conversations you have with your teammates. Each channel is dedicated to a specific topic, department, or project.
   
   
   
   • Assignments - Currently not being used by CVTC.
     
   • Calendar - Your Outlook calendar is synced with your Teams calendar so you can see all of your meetings and join meetings withing Teams.
   
   
   
   • Calls - You can launch calls from one-on-one or group chats. You can also start a call from someones contact card.
   
   
   
   • ..More - you can access apps within teams, like OneDrive files.
