Standard Workstation Deployment
IT will provide FT staff and faculty with the following standard workstation at no charge to the department:
- Single 22" monitor
- Wired Keyboard and Mouse
Anything above and beyond this setup, such as a laptop/dock upcharge, second monitor, headphones, a wireless keyboard and mouse, ergonomic keyboards, etc., would be charged to the department. To view our approved, non-standard equipment that is available for department purchase, please visit the CVTC Order App at a https://orderapp.cvtc.edu/stafforder. You can send an email to email@example.com if there is something you are looking for, that is not listed, and we will check to see if it is compatible with our standard hardware. If not approved, we will identify a similar item that will work and get in touch with you directly before placing an order.
Part-time and adjunct employees are asked to use their own device if possible or to utilize designated spaces at each campus (these spaces should all be equipped with the standard workstation listed above). If those options are not viable, IT has a small amount of checkouts available as a first come first serve basis. These checkouts are not a permanent checkout and must be returned by the agreed upon date (i.e. a semester or month at a time).
- IT is not responsible for any loss or damage to the IT equipment. If the damage is covered by the warranty of the device it will be replaced at no cost. If the damage is not covered by the warranty or the device is lost/stolen it will be the departments responsibility to cover that cost.
- All IT equipment assigned to an employee that is leaving, or has left, CVTC should be turned into IT or Talent and Culture on or before the last work day.
