Microsoft Authenticator - Sign-in Methods

Change Default sign-in method:

1. Log into My Account Portal.
   
   
2. Click Update Info, under Security info.
   
   
   
3. Click Change, next to Default sign-in method:
   
   
   
4. Choose the new authentication method.
   
   
   
5. Click Confirm.
   
   
   

Add/Delete sign-in methods:

1. Click + Add sign-in method.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Choose a Method.
   • Choices are Authenticator app, Alternate phone, Office Phone (if you don't already have one added).
   • We currently do not offer Security key.
   
   
   
3. Click Add.
   
   
   
4. Verify your identity, to save changes (text or phone call).
   Click Next.
   
   
   
5. Click Done.
   
   
   
6. Click Change.
   • Update authentication method for that number.
   
   
   
7. Edit preference for that method (i.e. Receive a code or Call me).
   Click Next.
   
   
   
8. Verify your identity.
   Click Next.
   
   
9. Click Done.
   
   
10. Click Delete, to delete any old phone numbers, smart devices, or email addresses.
    
    
    
11. Click OK.
    
    
    
12. Click Sign out everywhere, if you have a lost or stolen device. This will sign you out of all Microsoft apps related to CVTC.
    
    
    
13. Click OK.
