Accessing Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is a valuable tool, serving as an AI-powered assistant. It enhances learning and productivity by providing instant access to a vast knowledge base, generating documentation (including KB article text), and customized learning making it an essential resource for both students and employees.

Accessing Copilot

Microsoft Copilot can be accessed in a variety of ways.

Note: This version of Copilot is different than Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, which integrates into Office applications.


Any Browser

  1. Navigate to https://copilot.microsoft.com.
  2. Log in with your CVTC email address and password.
  3. Look for the Protected tag next to your name.

    This indicates data is not reviewed by humans and is not used to train the AI model.

Microsoft Edge Browser

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
  2. Click on the Copilot icon from the upper-right corner.
  3. If prompted, log in with CVTC credentials.
  4. Look for the protected symbol in the sidebar.

    This indicates data is not reviewed by humans and is not used to train the AI model.

Desktop App

  1. Click the Copilot icon from the lower-right corner of the screen, near the clock.

Reminders

  • When using CVTC credentials, chat history is not available.
  • Chats are discarded at the end of the session or when creating a new chat topic. Copy or download responses before starting a new topic.
  • All chat responses need to be verified for accuracy and bias.
