New Student Orientation (NSO)
1. What is New Student Orientation?
New Student Orientation is to familiarize you with CVTC by giving you information about financial aid, parking, housing, MyCVTC, course registration, and CVTC’s learning management systems.
2. Is New Student Orientation required?
NSO is not required, but it is highly recommended. Students who attend are better prepared to start the semester. We look forward to seeing you there.
3. How can I sign up for a New Student Orientation date?
You can register to attend NSO in your MyCVTC account. Once you’re logged in, hover over “Student Services and Support” on the top of your screen, and then select “Education Navigation.” When selecting a date, please keep in mind it’s more beneficial for you to attend new student orientation before your registration date.
4. Can I reschedule my New Student Orientation date?
Absolutely! You can reschedule your NSO date by calling Student Central at 715-833-6200, or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
5. I can’t make any of the NSO dates. Can I still receive the information?
Of course! We’ve taken more of the important content from our on-campus orientation and made it easy to view online so that you can access it 24-7. View the online orientation in your MyCVTC account under “Student Services and Support” by selecting “Education Navigation.”
