Creating Shortcuts in Windows 7

Desktop Shortcut

  1. Navigate to the program or file that you would like to create a shortcut to.
  2. Right click on the program or file, click Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).

Web Page Desktop Shortcut

  1. Navigate to the webpage you would like to create a short cut to.
  2. Right click anywhere on the page, click Create shortcut.

  4. Click Yes.

Taskbar Shortcut

  1. Navigate to the program you would like pinned to the Taskbar.
  2. Right click on the program, click Pin to Taskbar.

Windows Explorer Favorites Shortcut

  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location you would like listed under Favorites.
  2. Once you are in the location you would like added, right click Favorites and click Add current location to Favorites.

  4. Your location is now listed under Favorites in the Windows Explorer.

Start Menu Shortcut

  1. Navigate to the program you would like pinned to the Start Menu.
  2. Right click on the program, click Pin to Start Menu.

  4. Your program(s) will now be listed in the, main, Start Menu screen.
