Smart Phone - Outlook Add Email Account

If you are adding another account to your Outlook app, please see the Add Shared Account article here.

  1. Download Microsoft Outlook from the App Store, Google Play, or Microsoft Store.
  2. Open App.
  3. Tap Add Account.


  4. Enter your CVTC email address, username@cvtc.edu.
    • Enter username@student.cvtc.edu, if you are a student only.
    Tap Add Account.


  5. Tap Open Authenticator.


  6. Enter your CVTC password.
    Tap Sign in.


  7. Option 1: Approve sign in request.
    • Make note of the number on your screen.


  8. Open MS Authenticator App.
    Enter the Number.
    Tap Yes.


  9. Option 2: Verify your identity (uses the phone number we have on file for you).
  10. Choose Text or Call.


  11. Enter the Code from the text. 
    Tap Verify.
    or
    Press the # key when prompted via call.


  12. Go back to Outlook.
  13. Would you like to add another account?
    Tap Maybe Later or Add.


  14. Enable Notifications
    Tap No Thanks or Turn On.


  15. Your Inbox is the default screen.
    To search for an email click the magnifying glass, at the top right.
    Tap Calendar, at the bottom of the app to view your calendar.


  16. To view folders tap your initial, in the upper left hand corner.


  17. All of your inbox folders and other folders are listed.
