iPad - Canvas Content Doesn't Appear

Items in Canvas like pictures, videos, or embedded content, may come from multiple Internet sources. In order for these items to be displayed correctly it is often necessary to enable cross-website (cross-site) tracking. The settings apply to any app that is used to access Canvas like the Canvas Student app or web browsers like Safari or Chrome.

Audience

Users experiencing issues with items not showing up in Canvas when using an iPad. The settings should be checked for each app that is used to access Canvas on the iPad.

Canvas Student App

  1. Tap to open Settings.


  2. Scroll down and tap on Canvas Student (1).
    Slide Allow Cross-Website Tracking to the right (2) so it is enabled.


  3. Canvas has more information on the app settings.

Safari

  1. Tap to open Settings.


  2. Scroll down and tap on Safari (1).
    Slide Prevent Cross-Website Tracking to the left (2) so it is disabled.

Chrome

  1. Tap to open Settings.


  2. Scroll down and tap on Chrome (1).
    Slide Allow Cross-Website Tracking to the right (2) so it is enabled.
