Receiving my Financial Aid Refund
1. When will I be getting my financial aid refund?
If you have accepted your financial aid award and funds have been authorized on your account before the start of the semester, your refund will be processed the week prior to classes starting. Please note electronic refunds are disbursed the Friday prior to classes, and checks for financial aid refunds are sent out the first Monday of classes. If you do not receive award information until after the start of the semester, your refund disbursement will heavily depend on when you view and accept your award. If at any time you have questions about what you are receiving a refund from financial aid, please consult your cashier connection account. A negative balance indicates what you will be receiving a refund (if no further charges are made the account prior to disbursement).
2. Where is my refund going to go?
If you have the electronic refund set up on your cashier connection, your refund will be directly deposited into the account you set up to receive refunded amounts. If you do not have the electronic refund set up, you will receive your check in the mail. Please note checks are sent to the current mailing address we have on file. For this reason, always ensure CVTC has the most current mailing address for you.
3. How can I setup my refund to deposit straight into my bank account?
You can set up an electronic refund account on your cashier connection. Once you log into your cashier connection through your SIS account, you will click Electronic Refunds, on the right-hand side. You will then be asked to provide account and routing information for the bank account you would like the amount to be deposited into.
