Microsoft Teams - How to Join a Teams Meeting
Your instructor will share a link to a Microsoft Teams Video Conference with you through Canvas or your CVTC student email. To join the video conference, follow the steps below:
- Sign into CVTC.
- If the link was sent via email, log into your CVTC Email.
- If you are a student the link may be provided to you in Canvas, open Canvas.
Navigate to the link inside of canvas. Right click on the link and click Open in a new tab.


To access the video conference through your internet browser:
- Click Join on the web instead.
- If video and audio are detected you will get a pop-up to allow Teams to access your microphone and camera.
Click Allow. - If you have multiple audio and video devices, click Devices to choose which ones you would like to use.
- Choose your device for Speaker, Microphone, and Camera.
Click the X to close. - Enter your Name.
Click Join Now.- It is recommended that you mute your mic until you are ready to speak.





To access the video conference in Microsoft Teams:
- Click Open Microsoft Teams app.
- If you have multiple audio and video devices, click Devices.
- Internal Mic and Speakers if you have a Mac.
- Choose your device for Speaker and Microphone.
Click the X to close. - Click Join Now.
- It is recommended that you mute your mic until you are ready to speak.
