Google - How to Convert a Google Doc to a Word Document
1. Open the Google Doc that you would like to convert to a Microsoft Word document. Next click 'File', hover on 'Download as', and select 'Microsoft Word'.
** Please note that you can convert a Google Sheet to a Microsoft Excel document and a Google Slide to a Microsoft PowerPoint document by following the same steps.
2. The file will download. Depending on your browser, you may see a notification once the download completes. For example, Chrome will show the file at the bottom left of the browser; Edge will provide a pop-up notification in the upper right corner of the browser. When the download finishes, you can click on the file name to open the Microsoft Word document.
3. The file will also appear in your 'Downloads' folder.
